NixonGutter, back in '05 I was prepared to sit in my pumpkin patch till my ass grew roots and pray for the Great Pumpkin to send us the Great DVD and see what we got.

One of my former students tells me that on this version, "Uli shoots first," but I think he may just be trying to muddy the waters, and this feller don't muddy shit in my beach community.

On a more serious Brother Shamus note: A few weeks back, while trying to track down a copy of the "Big-Ass Sunglasses" version for the sake of English subtitles that the "Hangs Together" version fails to supply, I learned from a Best Buy lacky that a tenth anniverary edition of TBL would be coming, complete with bowling towel. This same fellow also informed me that there were avid fans of the film who gathered annually in Las Vegas to drink "White Caucasians" and perform other film-related rituals (involving pinking shears, one supposes).
